FestiTrail d’Autrans

The FestiTrail d’Autrans is a winter trail running event held each December in conjunction with the Festival International du Film de Montagne. Set in the picturesque village of Autrans in the Vercors, in the southeast corner of France, the main race takes participants along approximately 20 km of snow‑touched trails, with around 600 m of elevation gain, available either as a solo challenge or in a two‑person relay. Solo runners tackle the full course, while relay teams divide it into a 7 km and a 13 km leg, making it accessible yet engaging for both individuals and partners.
Families and younger athletes have the option of a children’s loop of 1.5 km (some age groups can repeat it for 3 km), offering a fun, introductory trail experience.
FestiTrail blends sport with culture and winter charm: set against snowy trails, the races are part of a larger festival featuring film screenings, concerts, yoga and more. The event’s festive atmosphere, combined with solid logistics and scenic alpine terrain, could make it a memorable early‑season highlight for both serious trail runners and families alike.
