Trail del Monte Soglio

Like many trail races across the Alps, this race was organized to bring more trail runners to a relatively unknown area. It has since gained national trail running notoriety, not only for it’s world class trail running but also it’s celebrations and awards ceremonies.
The 73km figure-of-8 circuit has 4300m of elevation gain and takes you up to 2000m above sea level, giving you great views of the Gran Paradiso range.
The 44km race has a skyrace-style route that takes runners on a circuit to and from Monte Soglio, while the 26km circuit climbs up its flanks, offering wonderful views of the mountain.
The shortest course is 16km and stays in the beech, birch and chestnut woods below Monte Soglio. The race also offers a “non-competitive” entry level, and it is open to accompanied minors.
