This truly was the trip of a lifetime. RTA created a trip that allowed me to focus on one thing: running in the most beautiful scenery in the world! There was great communication leading up to the trip. Transport was simple. Guides, Gary and Maarten were warm, welcoming and highly capable. I had no doubt that their goal was for each of us to have a safe, comfortable experience.
Why
It's been a long time goal of mine to run the Tour du Mont Blanc route. I did a bunch of research and became convinced that the tour offered by Run the Alps was the best. I decided to go with them and the trip exceeded my expectations!
Advice
If you follow their guidance regarding training, trust in your abilities! It's a lot of speed hiking and running, but not too much. It really felt like just the right amount! Don't let the distance and the elevation gain hold you back!!
Highlight
There were so many highlights, it is really difficult to narrow it down to one. The running was amazing! The nature and views were amazing! Guides were amazing! The food and drinks were unbeatable!
