Via Valais was a beautiful route with amazing views and some fun challenges. The lodging was comfortable and the food was good. The only negative was fast-packing almost daily.
Loved doing a self guided trip with Run the Alps. Staff helped us pick a great route for our wants and skills. They helped answer any questions as we prepared for our trip and were available if we needed them along the way. The map app and route descriptions helped us plan for each day and stay on track.
Why
We chose Via Valais because it was a bit off the beaten path and trails were high up with little traffic making for beautiful views.
Advice
Bring sufficient snacks or buy food to take for the day as there were few options along the way. Be sure to bring a good fast pack and take a lot of pictures!
