The Course pédestre Les Plans-sur-Bex / Cabane Plan-Névé is a self-timed event over 6.4 km and 1190 m of elevation gain during summer months. A historic event in the Rhone Valley region of Switzerland, it has been held annually since 1973 and was originally hosted by the local ski club. Start whenever you choose between the end of June and the end of September; your electronic bib triggers the timer as you pass under the starting arch at Les Plans village.

The event has no aid stations or water stops, with runners carrying what they need. The terrain is unrelentingly steep, climbing through alpine meadow and forest toward the Cabane Plan-Névé, marked throughout . At the finish, a proper reward awaits competitors: sponsor gear, a non-alcoholic drink, and a well-earned slice of fruit tart.

Run it five times over the season; your fastest time counts. Solo categories by age and gender. You can also enter as a team (3-10 runners, top three times count), or as a mixed pair (sum of both times). Nordic Walking option available.

The town of Bex, located beneath Les Plans is accessible by public transit and car from the Rhone valley and Martigny, with the Geneva airport 1.5 hours away by train.
