A perfect honeymoon

Classic Italian Dolomites Self-Guided

My husband and I were looking for a honeymoon adventure that touched upon all of our favorite things: mountains, Europe, movement outside, and delicious food. This self-guided Run the Alps trip captured that perfectly. We’ve never done something like this before – specifically an all-inclusive trip – and were impressed by the whole experience. Ian and the team made planning so smooth, and he was even able to help us upgrade one of the hotels for our honeymoon. We had no idea how easy it would be to jump into the journey, with everything carefully planned and detailed for us. There were many special touches, and it felt like the perfect mix of a personal holiday without the stress of coordinating anything. The runs were beautiful and super accessible (we’re avid trail runners who enjoy a good challenge, but we also thought these could be taken at any pace one enjoyed). Hotels and food were exceptional, especially in Ortisei and Selva. Trip/route information was clear, and we were able to get any questions we had answered quickly! We would love to do this again and recommend it to anyone looking for a European mountain adventure!

Why

My husband and I were looking for a honeymoon adventure that touched upon all of our favorite things: mountains, Europe, movement outside, and delicious food. Two friends had done this exact tour before and highly recommended it.

Advice

If you're at all interested in the above (mountains, Europe, running/hiking, delicious food), sign up! It's such a great way to travel, and while we are avid trail runners, we found the routes to be super accessible.

Highlight

Many. We really loved the Hotel Savoy, an upgrade for our honeymoon. Our room was incredible. The wellness center at Hotel Cosmea was fantastic. The Plattkofel hut was a really fun experience as well as seeing the morning views from the top of that summit.
