This was one of my favorite vacations for so many reasons. As I anticipated, the scenery was gorgeous, the mountains were spectacular, the trail running was amazing. An unexpected highlight for me was how much fun our group had together, laughing over shared meals, breaking out in an impromptu dance party, cramming into small rooms at the huts together.
Why
I wanted to challenge myself, run on trails that were remote, and experience a new culture.
Advice
Train for the long climbs and descents! Embrace the unknowns that come with being in a new country.
Highlight
I loved our nights at the huts, particularly the Becs de Bosson hut. The location was breathtaking and it was fun to experience hut culture: lounging outside, having a shared meal in the dining room, watching the sunset, hanging with the hut cats.
