Alexandre Thomas

International Mountain Leader
I have been passionate about the mountains since my late teens. My passion for adventure sports has taken me to the French Alps and neighboring mountain ranges, where I enjoy hiking, trekking, ultra-trail running, snowshoeing, and mountaineering.
Starting in 2021, I changed my career to become an International Mountain Leader. I’m based in Annecy, France.
I offer coaching sessions as well as longer tours. I always run for myself in the off-season and conquer a few intermediate peaks of the French Alps, as well.
I started trail running in the mid-2000’s, mainly running distances between 10 and 30 kilometers. I started competing in trail races, and took part in La SaintéLyon, the Grand Trail des Templiers, and Trail des Aiguilles Rouges. Then, I moved up to ultra-distance racing with Échappée Belle in 2013 and the 330-km long Tor des Géants in Italy’s Aosta valley, in 2014 and 2017.
The magnificent landscapes and my encounters with wildlife have made me aware of the exceptional and fragile nature of the wild mountain environment. I help guests discover and share experiences off the beaten track, so that they can create unforgettable memories.
I also enjoy sharing special moments with my guests, both during the physical effort, and in the contemplation of the mountains and discussions we have along the way. I love discovering and spending time with people who have different lifestyles.
