We are excited to share a new opportunity to be part of the 2026 Run the Alps Film Festival, presented in partnership with On and Tailwind. Now in its fourth year, the Festival is expanding its lineup with outstanding films created outside our annual grant cycle. We’re seeking completed — or soon-to-be-completed — trail running films with a strong Alps focus.

If selected, your work will feature alongside For Sisters Who Run and a curated selection of inspiring stories from our festival partners and filmmakers. You’ll also receive a $200 honorarium in recognition of your work.

The festival will go live online in January 2026, with in-person community events in Europe and North America to be announced throughout the year.

For Sisters Who Run is the winner of this year’s short film grant funded by On, and follows members of the Muslim women’s group ASRA club. Filmmaker Ainslie Senfuka and the team are currently gearing up for their shoot, and they can’t wait to find out what trail running in the mountains is all about!

How to submit your film:

  • Films can be any length up to 30 minutes
  • Trail running in the Alps must be central to the story
  • Send film details (with link if finished) to: filmfestival@runthealps.com
  • Submission deadline: November 1, 2025

We can’t wait to see the stories you have to share—let’s bring the Alps to the big screen together!
