International Mountain Leader.
Wilderness First Responder.
After a realization at aged 39 that I wasn’t living the life I wanted, I quit my job, sold my possessions and moved to the mountains. More than a decade later, I am still following my passion for life. I spend my time trail running, paragliding and ski touring, as well as traveling to other mountainous regions of the world.
I came to trail running by accident when I moved to Chamonix; a pair of shoes is easier to pack than a bicycle. Having done my share of mid distance ultras I’ve now added in run-and-fly paragliding competitions, which allow me to indulge in my love of ascents with a fast way down to valley floor.
My passion for trail running brings me a connection with nature and is a form of self-care; I find time in nature beneficial for my mental health and running has become a form of meditation for me.
I am my true self in the mountains. Sharing this passion, and seeing the mountains deepen people’s connection with nature, is truly inspiring for me. Helping guests challenge themselves physically and mentally is very rewarding. Moving fast through the mountains with like-minded trail runners, and seeing the landscape change in front of your eyes, never ceases to bring me joy. When you find a job you love, you never have to do a day’s work again in your life – guiding really feels like this to me!
